PhD at University of Granada, Spain
Natalia Martínez-León is a Ph.D. in Applied English Linguistics, professor, and researcher at the Department of Languages and Literature Didactics in the Faculty of Education at the University of Granada, Spain. Her academic work focuses on multilingual education, early-age language learning, and innovative teaching methodologies.
She is an active member of the European project “Global Teacher Education” and contributes to the R&D project “Designing a Teacher Profile for Early Childhood Education from a Plurilingual Approach: Learning Foreign and Additional Languages in Early Childhood.” Additionally, she is involved in the research project LEyLA, which explores teacher training for pre-primary education through a plurilingual perspective.
As a founding member of ELLMEnet, Natalia collaborates with a network of scholars and educators dedicated to early language learning. Her areas of specialization include early-age multilingualism, multilingual education, CLIL, pre-K education, early Indigenous language teaching and learning, and the educational applications of linguistic landscapes.
