Senior Lecturer and Head of Curriculum Development and Support in the Teaching Innovation Unit at University of South Australia
Negin is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Curriculum Development and Support at the University of South Australia. She holds a Doctorate in Education with a focus on online learning and a Masters in Educational Technology. With over 15 years of working in higher education institutions in Canada and Australia, Negin has extensive experience in managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative educational technology in higher education and in designing fully online, blended, and open courses. She currently leads the development and support of various academic development programs including the design and development of fully online courses and programs for University South Australia's UniSA Online initiative and the design and development of short courses (e.g. continuing professional development and micro credentials) at UniSA. She also teaches a post graduate course on learning analytics and has previously designed and taught the award-winning Coursera MOOC titled Learning to Teach Online.
Negin’s current research projects, interests, and HDR supervision focus on learning analytics to inform pedagogical change, video-based learning, video analytics, blended, flipped, and online learning, student learning, and academic staff development. Negin is also a reviewer for a number of educational journals and conferences.
