About me

As the Senior Advisor of the Open Voice TrustMark Initiative, Oita Coleman leads the global Linux Foundation project dedicated to establishing open standards and best practices for conversational AI technologies. In her role, she assumes the responsibility of formulating and implementing an ethical framework that safeguards individuals' privacy rights, adheres to relevant global laws and regulations, and minimizes risks for developers, clients, and the public. She has a strong background in software quality research and development, having previously worked as the Vice President of Research & Development for Software Quality at SAS Institute, where she provided oversight for global processes, standards, and policies, further emphasizing the importance of delivering exceptional products and experiences to customers.

In her prior role, she held the position of R&D Vice President at SAS Institute, leading the global software quality division, focused on high-quality product delivery, while also overseeing the implementation of processes, standards, and policies to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
