Ozgur Eris is an Associate Professor of Design Theory and Methodology at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. His academic interests are primarily in design cognition and engineering education. Prior to joining the School of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft, he was an Associate Professor of Design and Mechanical Engineering at Olin College, where he helped build Olin’s interdisciplinary design curriculum. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Washington, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a design concentration from Stanford University. He has published on the role of inquiry in design, engineering design education, and design informatics.
