P. Bhanumati

Ms. P. Bhanumati is a senior economist in the Real Sector Division of the IMF’s Statistics Department. Prior to joining the Fund, she worked in the National Statistical Office of India for 23 years. She has extensive experience in national accounts, national sample surveys, environment statistics and environment accounting in the NSO. She was also the Program Manager for the EU-funded NCAVES Project in India and instrumental in initiating the compilation of environment accounts in India. She has contributed to different Expert Groups of the UNSD and is presently the Chair of UNSD Working group on SEEA Ecosystem Accounting Indicators.
