Peter Polak-Springer

Dr. Peter Polak-Springer is an Associate Professor of History at Qatar University. He earned his PhD from Rutgers University and held fellowships from the Social Science Research Council and the Freie Universität Berlin. He authored a book and several articles on transnationalism in borderlands and on religiosity and nationalism in contested spaces, such as Central Europe, the Gulf and other parts of the Middle East. At Qatar University, he teaches the History of Qatar.
