Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Schmitt

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert H. Schmitt holds the Chair of Intelligence in Quality Sensing. He is Director of the WZL at RWTH Aachen University and Director at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT. Among other things, he is involved in the German Society for Quality (DGQ), of which he has been President since 2021. His research focuses on the information technology processing of sensor-based data and its integration into modern quality management.
