Dr. Gan is a tenured professor and deputy director of prosthodontic department at West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University. She currently serves as a Committee Member of the Prosthodontic Committee in the Chinese Stomatological Association, Standing Committee Member & Secretary of the Sichuan Prosthodontic Committee, Standing Committee Member of the Sichuan Aesthetic Dentistry Committee. With over a decade of experience in prosthodontics-related clinical practice, teaching, and research, her work focuses on oral and maxillofacial bone metabolism mechanisms, including a three-year visiting research tenure at the University of Kansas’s Bioengineering Research Center in the U.S. She has led over 10 national/provincial research projects, published 50+ papers in renowned journals, holds three national invention patents, and serves as a reviewer for multiple academic journals.
Dr. Gan has been honored more than 20 times for her outstanding contributions, including recognition as a Young and Middle-Aged Key Talent by the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission, the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, the Chinese Stomatological Association Science and Technology Award, Young Faculty Backbone Teacher, Outstanding Instructor for both extracurricular scientific activities and innovation/entrepreneurship education, and as a key contributor to Sichuan's inaugural provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses. As a dedicated educator, she has mentored students admitted to top global universities, guided award-winning academic works, and spearheaded four teaching reform projects, earning honors such as Sichuan University’s Special Prize for Teaching Achievements. She co-authored seven textbooks and contributed to three national clinical standards. Clinically, she specializes in anterior aesthetic restorations, minimally invasive fixed prostheses, and implant-supported prostheses, adhering to the principles of "health, minimally invasive, and precision.
