Rebecca Lurie Starr is an Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore. She received her B.A. in Linguistics and Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Harvard University, and her Ph.D. in Linguistics with a Designation in Cognitive Science from Stanford University. Her research focuses on language variation and change and children’s sociolinguistic development.
