About me
Professor Sun Kwok is a world-renowned astronomer and scientist. He is currently the Chair Professor of Space Science and Director of Laboratory for Space Research (2016-present), President of International Astronomical Union (IAU) Commission of Astrobiology, and the ex-Dean of Science and Chair Professor of Physics at the University of Hong Kong. He is well recognized for his outstanding research in interstellar chemistry and stellar evolution and his theory on the origin of planetary nebulae, which has transformed understanding of the death of Sun-like stars. He is widely published on the subjects of interstellar medium, planetary nubulae and organic matter in the Universe.
