Dr. Timothy Ka-Chun UN currently serves as Associate Consultant in Cardiology at Queen Mary Hospital, where he leads the Adult Congenital Heart Services. He also holds the position of Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong. After earning his medical degree and a Master of Research in Medicine from the University of Hong Kong in 2012, he pursued specialty training in cardiology at Queen Mary Hospital.

To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Un completed an Interventional Fellowship in Adult Congenital Heart and Paediatric Cardiac Intervention at Evelina London Children’s Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital, United Kingdom, in 2022. He subsequently undertook additional training in Structural Heart Interventions at the Heart Valve Center, University Medical Center Mainz, Germany, in 2023.

His professional focus includes the clinical management of adult congenital and structural heart diseases, alongside active involvement in both clinical and basic science research in these fields. In addition to publishing extensively in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Un serves as a reviewer for several major journals, including JACC: Case Reports , AsiaIntervention , and JRSM Cardiovascular Disease. His particular interests lie in transcatheter heart valve interventions, transcatheter electrosurgery, and exploring innovative structural heart techniques to improve treatment outcomes for patients with congenital heart disease.
