About Me

Walter is professor and head of the chair of Land Management, as well as Dean of the study programs Geodesy and Geoinformatics at the Technical University Munich. He has many years of experience in professional training and education in land issue. Before Walter started at the Technical University Munich in 2015, he worked at the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) at the University of Twente, Netherlands. His work focuses on responsible and smart land management and administration, the development and evaluation of cadastres and land registers and land consolidation. He initiated the development, guided the structure and provided content for the MOOC “Introduction of Land Management”.
