Dr. Xiliang Zhang is the Executive Dean of Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy, Executive Director and Chief Scientist of China Automotive Energy Research Center. He received his PhD in management science and engineering from Tsinghua University in 1997. His research interests includes energy system engineering, transportation and automotive energy system analysis, and renewable energy policy.
Professor Zhang is also the lead author of the 4th IPCC Assessment Report (Mitigation Chapter), the module Energy Policies in UNDP/IIASA Global Energy Assessment Report, the Chapter of CO2 Reduction Potential of Energy Supply Technologies in China National Climate Change Assessment Report. He is associate editor of Energy-The International Journal and Energy for Sustainable Development, member of editorial board of Climate Policy, International Journal of Sustainable Engineering, and Frontiers of Energy and Power Engineering in China.
Dr. Zhang serves as secretary general of the New Energy Committee of China Energy Research Society and Vice President of China Renewable Energy Industry Association. He has been a chief expert of a key research grant of National Social Science Foundation of China on policy and institutional issues of National Program on addressing climate change, a co-chief scientist of a research project of NDRC and Ministry of Science and Technology on pathways and implementing mechanisms for achieving the national 2020 carbon intensity target.
张希良，清华大学能源环境经济研究所执行所长，教授。清华大学中国车用能源研究中心执行主任。张希良教授于1997年在清华大学获得博士学位。他的研究兴趣包括能源系统工程，交通与汽车能源系统分析以及可再生能源政策。张希良教授是联合国政府间气候变化专门委员会（IPCC）《气候变化评估报告》、联合国开发计划署/国际应用系统分析研究所（UNDP/IIASA）《全球能源评估报告》中能源政策模块和中国《国家气候变化评估报告》中能源供应章节的主笔作者，是国际学术期刊Energy-The International Journal和Energy for Sustainable Development的副主编，Climate Policy、International Journal of Sustainable Engineering和Frontiers of Energy and Power Engineering in China的编委，中国能源研究会常务理事兼新能源专业委员会秘书长，中国可再生能源行业协会副会长，国家社科基金重大项目“中国应对气候变化国家方案政策措施中的关键问题研究”首席专家，国家973计划项目课题“我国GDP二氧化碳排放强度下降40-45%目标的分解与实施方案”项目首席科学家。
