Zhi Zhou

Dr. Zhou is an associate professor of Civil Engineering and Environmental and Ecological Engineering at Purdue University. Prior to joining Purdue, he was an assistant professor of Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore and a consulting engineering at Carollo Engineers at California. His research focuses on biological wastewater treatment, water reuse, water quality, and environmental biotechnologies. He teaches courses on wastewater treatment processes, environmental biotechnology, senior design, membrane filtration, and emerging contaminant removal. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California and a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE). He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and master and bachelor’s degrees from Nanjing University, China.
