The AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate certification validates technical expertise in deployment, management, security, and operations on the AWS Cloud. This intermediate-level official exam prep course from Amazon Web Services (AWS) is designed to help you quantify your preparedness to successfully pass this certification. The course follows the certification exam guide (https://d1.awsstatic.com/training-and-certification/docs-sysops-associate/AWS-Certified-SysOps-Administrator-Associate_Exam-Guide.pdf) to analyze the exam’s various topic domains, review use cases and learn how they map to both SysOps on AWS and to specific areas of study.

This course includes:

  • Lectures by expert AWS instructors, who deliver presentations and review sample questions
  • Practice question sets
  • Sample practice assessment
  • Labs

The course is divided into 4 weeks. The first week of the course provides an overview of AWS Certifications, teaches you what to expect as you prepare and take your exam, how to determine what content is covered on an exam, and tips from our AWS trainers on getting started. Each of 2-4 weeks dive into 2 domains (per exam guide) which are tested in the exam:

Week 2

  • Monitoring, logging and remediation (20%)*
  • Deployment, provisioning and automation (18%)

Week 3

  • Reliability and business continuity (16%)
  • Networking and content delivery (18%)

Week 4

  • Security and compliance (16%)
  • Cost and performance optimization (12%)

*The percentages denote the weightings of the topics in the exam

Each exam topic area features an AWS expert explanation and analysis of a sample exam level question including strategies for identifying incorrect responses by interpreting the concepts that are being tested in the exam.

After each week assess yourself with sample practice certification questions for that topic area. You will learn how to interpret exam questions, eliminate incorrect responses, and allocate your study time directly from AWS experts. Labs are provided to validate skills and align to the new practical lab portion of the certification. Finally, the course concludes with a 40 question benchmark assessment.

We recommend you have one year of hands-on experience with deployment, management, networking, and security on AWS and that you completed training on systems operations on AWS before taking this course. Exam Prep: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate is a great way to review your knowledge and refresh your skills before your exam.
