This professional certificate is designed to help develop a complete set of desk-ready skills for fixed income market participants. You will learn how to determine fair values, yields and risk measures for a wide variety of instruments including government bonds, corporate bonds, mortgage securities and fixed income derivatives. You will also be able to understand the structure and trading conventions of fixed income markets, and learn how to construct, interpret, and trade the term structure of interest rates. The program is comprised of three courses and a final examination:
- Fixed Income Mathematics: Pricing and Valuation of Bonds
- Fixed Income Instruments and Markets
- Yield Curve Analysis
- Fixed Income Professional Certificate Examination
Completing all 3 courses and then taking the Professional Certificate Examination is MANDATORY to achieve both the NYIF Certificate of Mastery and the edX Professional Certificate in Fixed Income. A verified learner must pass all courses in the program with a minimum grade of 70% to earn a Professional Certificate in Fixed Income.
