Curriculum

The online Master of Science in Integrated Design, Business and Technology interdisciplinary curriculum teaches learners to reimagine and disrupt evolving perspectives and technologies. Fueled by diversity and inclusion, this learner-centered program will equip you with skills to advance your career across dynamic industries such as business, design, technology, and communications. Featured courses include:

  • Processes and perspectives: Consider problems from various perspectives and challenge your preconceptions.
  • Opportunity and uncertainty: Identify problems and enhance your ability to take calculated risks to find innovative solutions.
  • Narrative and storytelling: Find the “story” in your work and persuasively communicate your ideas — and their narrative — to gain buy-in.

Admissions

Prospective learners interested in this program must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The admissions committee may consider exceptional applicants who do not hold a bachelor’s degree on a case-by-case basis. No GRE or GMAT scores required. To complete an application, you will need to submit:

  • Online application

  • Résumé

  • Official transcripts from all previous institutions

  • Short essays

  • Letters of recommendation

  • Portfolio or collection of work (optional for all, but recommended for applicants with a design background)

  • TOEFL scores (if applicable)

In-person residentials

Learners will participate in two week-long residential experiences — the first to be held on the University of Southern California’s campus in Los Angeles, and the second at another location in the United States. During these in-person meetings, learners network with leading industry professionals, connect with like-minded peers, and deepen their understanding of the innovative industries that drive positive change.
