Learners who do not meet the requirements for admission into the Master of Data Science (Online) program can work toward these requirements by first completing a graduate certificate or a graduate diploma in data science. Both the certificate and diploma are also designed for learners who wish to gain the knowledge necessary to apply for a MDS degree.

The graduate certificate and diploma allow learners to build on their current knowledge and experience and increase their skills in a degree that advances their careers. The graduate certificate, which can be completed in as little as six months, is 24 credit hours and provides learners with foundational skills in data science. The graduate diploma, which can be completed in as little as a year, is 48 hours and provides learners with an advanced understanding of data science.

Both programs are available to help learners upskill to advance their careers or to provide a foundation in data science before applying to the master’s course.
