30-credit curriculum

The Master of Science in Information Systems for Executives program’s 30-credit curriculum — taught by the same expert faculty as the on-campus program — features a human-centered approach to information systems. Prepare to build on your existing experience and communicate as a tech-driven business leader in the global marketplace.

The curriculum is structured as follows:

  • Primary coursework (12 credits):

Learners build the foundational knowledge and skills they need to prepare for advanced courses in information systems analysis, policy management, and more.

  • Electives (18 credits):

All graduate-level iSchool courses are acceptable electives for the MS in Information Systems for Executives program. Learners may also take up to six elective credits from other schools at Syracuse University, and explore "Selected Topics" courses from within the iSchool that reflect the interests of faculty and learners in a particular semester.

  • Exit requirement (portfolio milestone):

To satisfy their MS in Information Systems for Executives program exit requirements, students must complete, among other things, an information systems research capstone course and a fully supervised internship experience.
