Mario Ricci

Professor Mario Ricci is a highly accomplished senior academic education leader with 25+ years’ experience overseeing and managing all elements of academic programs and policies. As Dean Academic within the College of Health at Adelaide University, he provides vision and leadership for the development and delivery of 40+ accredited faculty blended and fully online programs; oversees the design, review and revision of curricula; recruits, manages and mentors academic and professional learning and teaching staff; and develops and implements strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and satisfaction.

Mario is also the course lead for 'Human Reproduction' - as well as the educational YouTube channel 'Human Biology Explained' which has 77,500+ subscribers and 3.6 million video views from 200+ countries.

Mario has received numerous national and international awards for his outstanding contribution to learning and teaching including the nation's highest health teaching award, an Australian Award for University Teaching (Biological Sciences and Health).
