What are Women’s Rights?
Women’s rights are the rights of women and girls and include the right to an education, the right to work, the right to vote, the right to equal pay and much more. Throughout history women have had to fight for basic human rights and freedom from the oppression of men in society. Today, the rights of women and girls vary greatly by country and in certain places, rights are suppressed by religious laws, cultural traditions or other factors.
