Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has full control over the program, including: creating admissions standards, rendering admissions decisions, creating academic content and providing course instruction, grading and assessment, selecting and employing all program faculty and instructors, financial aid, tuition pricing, graduation requirements, the issuance of credentials and transcripts, and program size.

2U’s support includes:

At Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), we’re looking for students who are passionate about technology and its ability to benefit society. We are devoted to the study of human health and providing every student the chance to gain real-world experience in their chosen field.

To apply for the hybrid online Master of Science in Biotechnology, you must have:

  • Earned a BS or BA degree in science or engineering from an accredited institution conferred prior to enrollment.

  • Maintained a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Completed the prerequisite courses General Chemistry I and General Biology I.

To be considered for admission into the program, you will need to submit the following materials:

  • Names and contact information of two faculty or professional references 

  • Statement of purpose 

  • Current résumé or curriculum vitae (CV)

  • Official transcripts

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and FeesTuition $52,800

The estimated tuition for the hybrid online Master of Science in Biotechnology program as of the 2025–26 academic year is $52,800. It’s important to note that additional university fees may apply. Some of these fees may include, but are not limited to:

  • Technology Fee: $277

  • Graduation Fee: $100

  • Lab Fee: $125 per lab course (four on campus lab courses)

Learners can expect a moderate tuition increase each year.
