René Alderliesten is a full professor in Structural Integrity and Certification at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands specializing in fatigue and damage tolerance of aerospace materials and structures. He received his MSc and PhD from Delft University of Technology in 1999 and 2005 respectively. Since 2024 he is member of the management team for the Department on Aerospace Structures and Materials responsible for the department’s research strategy.
