About this course

Skip About this course

Experts from more than 20 countries have decided to work together to produce this series of three MOOCs, designed for graduate students, to give them the knowledge they need to initiate their research program. Of course, these MOOCs will also be useful for dairy practitioners, teachers, and for individuals that already have a solid scientific background, and are interested in learning about bovine mastitis.

This third MOOC titled "Mastitis control and milk quality" will discuss mastitis prevention and control strategies including: general control plans, mastitis prevention in heifers prior to first calving, mastitis prevention during the dry period, efficient milking routine, vaccination, treatment of clinical and subclinical mastitis, as well as strategies to reduce use of antimicrobials. Mastitis economics and milk quality will also be discussed.

We hope this series will answer all your questions and will be useful for your professional development. Let's start the last MOOC of the series: "Mastitis control and milk quality"!
