About me

Alfredo is a former Olympic athlete who competed in the 2004 Athens Games, earning the distinction of being Peru's first and only world champion in the high jump. As a best-selling author, Alfredo's main objective is continuous learning to spread knowledge. Previously a software engineer, he now works at Microsoft in Developer Relations. With almost two decades of experience, Alfredo has taught several machine learning engineering and DevOps courses. An Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke University, he has written books on DevOps and Python for O'Reilly, including Python For DevOps and Practical MLOps.

His expertise spans Azure, cloud computing, DevOps, MLOps, Python, Rust, Databricks, CI/CD automation, and more. Alfredo frequently gives guest lectures at Oxford University, Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon University, and Duke University on these topics.
