Edward Palmer

Edward is a Professor of Educational Technology at the University of Adelaide and has 30 years of experience in teaching and learning across multiple disciplines. His research interests centre around how people learn, particularly using technology and how assessment and design drives that learning. He is adept at curriculum design and has specific expertise in online learning approaches and is a local and national award winner in the field. His research focuses on virtual and augmented reality and is currently investigating the role of AI in education and training. He is working on projects investigating the role of narrative and storytelling as part of community education on men’s health, the long-term impact of COVID on students, parents and institutions, the use of discussion forums in teaching and the role of personalisation of learning on student outcomes.
