Dyann F. Wirth

Dyann Wirth, PhD, is the Richard Pearson Strong Professor of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Professor Wirth has been a leader in the area of malaria research for more than thirty years; she serves as Chair of the Malaria Advisory Committee at the World Health Organization. Her work has provided completely new insight into how the malaria parasite has evolved, specifically in the areas of population biology, drug resistance, and antigenicity.
