Kristin Beate Vasbø

Kristin Beate Vasbø is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Education and School Research within the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Oslo.

Her research spans from youth and generational studies to the integration of technology in higher education settings, promoting flexible and hybrid teaching models that foster student co-creation and inclusion. She is an experienced qualitative researcher with specialized expertise in interviews and observations. Vasbø has extensive experience from various research projects and is currently involved in the evaluation of the latest curriculum reform in Norway, where she has particular responsibility for exploring how the interdisciplinary approach manifests and how life skills education is conducted in school practices. Additionally, she leads the research group Teachers’ Professional Development and Educational Change (TEPEC) at the University of Oslo. The TEPEC research group is dedicated to studying teachers' professional development within educational programs.
