About me

Nancy Evans, Ph.D., has taught in the Indiana University (IU) system for twenty-two years. Her eclectic career background ranges from working as a public accountant (audit and tax) to self-employed career coach to faculty in the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology (IUPUI) and most recently Kelley School of Business (IU Bloomington). As a certified Higher Education Quality Matters Master Reviewer, Nancy is committed to online/hybrid course design for the success of learners. She brings close to twenty years of online teaching experience with the past five years heavily immersed in curriculum development related to virtual teaming.

Nancy has taught a variety of courses in the field of computer information technology and career/professional development courses. Many of the courses she has taught have a foundation in career exploration, self-awareness, working effectively on teams, and digital literacy. Nancy brings her scholarly work and expertise in career skill development, particularly emotional intelligence within positive psychology and real-life application in teams to this edX program.

Nancy Evans has a B.S. in Accounting from Butler University and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies (educational psychology and curriculum theory) from Ball State University. Certifications include Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI Step I and Step II), BlueEQ Emotional Intelligence Facilitator, ProSci Certified Change Practitioner, Certified Applied Positive Psychology Practitioner, Certified Life Purpose Coach, and IC3 and MOS credentials.
