Teresa is an Associate Professor of Management Education at the Wits Business School in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her PhD, entitled Service-Learning in MBA degree programmes in South Africa illustrates how community service and MBA curricula can be combined in such a way as to meet course outcomes while materially assisting needy communities. The rewarding PhD study encouraged further work using qualitative methods and she has now narrowed her preferred approach to the grounded theory methodology. Her subject interests lie in the areas of management education, qualitative research as a discipline, entrepreneurship, diversity and culture. She has several publications in the aforementioned areas, and has supervised over 100 Masters students and seven PhDs to completion and graduation. She remains passionate about her research and postgraduate supervision.
