Zachary Morseth

About me

Dr. Morseth currently teaches General Chemistry 2 for the Health Sciences Lecture and Lab Courses online for the MGH IHP Prerequisites for the Health Professions Program.

Dr. Morseth has research backgrounds in Analytical and Physical Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under the direction of Prof. John Papanikolas. There, he developed and employed ultrafast optical spectroscopic methods and computational models to study energy and electron transfer dynamics in multifunctional molecular assemblies for solar energy conversion applications. Following his Ph.D., he was an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Minnesota State University – Moorhead, where he taught general, environmental, and analytical chemistry. He is currently a Principal Scientist at Alcami Corporation, where he develops and validates analytical and bioanalytical methods for the testing of pharmaceutical products.
