Admissions requirements

To be eligible for entrance into the BSc programmes (Standard Route) you should meet the University of London’s general entrance requirements, mathematics requirements, and English language requirements that may vary depending on the programme you apply for. 

To be considered for admission, you must submit the following materials as part of your online application. If you’re 21 or older, a résumé or CV may be required. If you’re under the age of 21, you are encouraged to submit a résumé or CV in addition to the required materials below.

  • Complete/incomplete postsecondary certificates or transcripts

  • Personal statement

  • Verified identification

  • Recommended (may be required): Résumé or CV, work references, standardized test scores, and professional certificates

When you graduate with a degree, diploma, or certificate from the University of London, you receive two important documents: your Final Diploma (the physical parchment you receive at graduation) and a Diploma Supplement. These documents are proof of your dedication and knowledge in your field and can be presented to future employers

The Final Diploma:

This document indicates that you were awarded a University of London degree, diploma, or certificate. It also lists the name of the London School of Economics and Political Science as the member institution that developed the syllabus and provided assessment.

The Diploma Supplement:

This document describes the nature, level, and content of the programme that you have successfully completed. It also includes the transcript of courses taken, marks achieved, and overall classification.

Frequently asked questions

The indicative total programme cost for the Economics Management Finance and Social Sciences (EMFSS) is £17,500 for learners who reside in the U.K.

For learners studying outside of the U.K., the indicative total programme cost for 2023/2024 is as follows:

  • Total indicative programme fee for August 2023 and November 2023 registration: £23,884*

  • Total indicative programme fee for February 2024 and May 2024 registration: £24,482*

*This tuition total includes an average annual fee increase. It assumes that learners complete in the minimum period of registration and excludes resits. Fees are subject to change, please consult the Course Fees page for an up to date breakdown of the EMFSS (online taught) programme fees.
